What is GoGo Speech?

GoGo Speech is an online speech therapy platform. It offers interactive, screen-based speech therapy activities that could be used during both in-person and teletherapy sessions.

GoGo Speech requires internet access.

GoGo Speech offers stories, songs, and printables. If you’re using it in-person, you could present it on a screen, iPad, projector, or SMART board.

To put it simply: Go-Go Speech offers no prep play-based digital resources.

You’ll find engaging, wordless picture stories or songs with activities and printables to pair with them.

GoGo Speech Review: Is It Right For My Caseload?

The most important question for me to answer when writing this GoGo Speech review: is GoGo Speech the right fit for your caseload?

I find that this is best used with preschool and elementary students.

I especially love using GoGo Speech with students in my cross-categorial K-2 classroom.

What Goals Can I Target Using GoGo Speech?

You can target a variety of goals using GoGo Speech!

I’ve used it to target vocabulary, answering WH questions, prepositions, describing, and requesting.

They’ve also added a new feature recently that makes it even easier to target speech sounds: mouth visuals.

The mouth visuals can be used within the platform while presenting GoGo Speech stories, but there are also printable versions that can be used during your speech therapy articulation sessions.

How To Use GoGo Speech

Don’t be overwhelmed- it’s simple to use this platform!

Choose Your Activity

First, you’ll pull up an activity.

There are many seasonal and holiday themes available- for example, there’s a Polar Bear song that will be perfect for my January speech group.

Lesson Walk-Through

I always preview the song or story to decide how I’ll use it in my sessions.

If you haven’t used wordless picture books in speech therapy, don’t be nervous about trying to figure it out.

The GoGo Speech team walks you through ideas on how to model and use each story, so you can have a plan in place before your session.

There are also printable lesson guides that recommend exactly what to target- and how to target those goals.

In addition, there are speech and language target lists provided for each story.

Choose Accompanying Activity

Next, I print out an accompanying activity to pair with the story or song I’ve chosen.

My students will love the “feed the polar bear” activity after listening to the song.

5 Reasons You’ll Love GoGo Speech (My GoGo Speech Review)

If you have a preschool or elementary caseload, here are 5 reasons why I think you’d love to try GoGo Speech.

You’ll Save on Prep Time

It goes without saying, but SLPs are busy.

I’ll take anything that makes my life a little bit easier- and if I can have access to ready-to-go materials and activities, I’m on board.

You don’t need to print, laminate, and cut out to prepare for sessions when you’re using Go Go Speech.

So if there’s a schedule change, a last-minute group, or you had too many meetings to plan something fun- you’re covered.

Mixed Goal Groups

You can target a variety of speech and language goals using GoGo Speech- goals like following directions, describing, sentence structure, core vocabulary, and more.

It’s especially great to use in a group session!

Ideal for Shorter Attention Spans

I’m sure we’ve all tried read-alouds where we’re hastily trying to shorten the book as we lose the locals.

The wordless picture stories are great because you can modify for each student or group.

The songs are short and fun.

GLP-Friendly

The cute stories provide support for natural language modeling.

Your students will love the silly characters and predictable storylines.

Easy Parent Carryover

Those mini-books and accompanying activities?

They make it really easy to send home materials with your students!

Summary

In conclusion, GoGo Speech is an online speech therapy platform that offers no-prep stories and songs, with accompanying materials, to try with your students. This GoGo Speech review explains why many SLPs have found this platform to be engaging for their students. Have you tried it out? Let me know in the comments!
